Taste a typical dish of our region with first year of ESO

Today we are going to explain how to make semolina crumbs a meal both delicious and easy. This dish is typical of the Alpujarra and is often served and cooked. We bet that the majority of people reading this have eaten migas at least once, right? Well, how many of you can truthfully say you’ve made them?...

Ingredients:

  1. 500 kg of wheat semolina
  2. Approximately 650 ml. of water
  3. 5 cloves of garlic
  4. 100ml of extra virgin oil
  5. A handful of salt

Utensils:

  1. A big saucepan
  2. A frying pan
  3. A bowl
  4. A skimmer or wooden spoon
  5. A serving plate

Tip: this meal tastes better cooked over an open flame.

Instructions:

First you need to heat the oil in a deep frying pan together with the garlic. When the garlic starts turning brown add the water and salt. Leave it over a medium heat until it starts to boil.

Next you add the semolina, little by little with a spatula or wooden spoon. Stir it over a low medium heat for about fifteen to twenty minutes until the semolina is moving freely in the pan.
